Early Symptoms of Pregnancy

If you want to find out if you’re pregnant, your body can be an excellent indicator. By monitoring yourself carefully you will be able to notice pregnancy symptoms within just a few days of conception.

However please note there are many women that may not experience any symptoms in the first few weeks of pregnancy – but if you think you may be pregnant please see your GP as soon as possible.

Highlighted below are a list of pregnant symptoms that maybe noticeable.

 A ‘missed period’ can be a common detection of pregnancy

 You may experience ‘morning sickness’. This usually occurs very early in the pregnancy and maybe highlighted by nausea and vomiting.

 You may also be more sensitive to smells and tastes. This may also lead to lack of eating which may in turn cause dizziness and fainting (caused by low blood sugar levels).

 You may also be constipated – this is caused by the pregnancy hormones which slow down your metabolism.

 You may notice that you need to go to the toilet more often. Frequent urination is a very common symptom.

 Heartburn and indigestion may also occur

 You may also notice tenderness and enlarging of your breasts and nipples

 Light bleeding or spotting may occur during the time of your period and you may pass more cervical mucous, which is thick and white

 You may also feel tired throughout the day. Moody spells are very common and are caused by the hormones raging through your body

 Your skin may change – you may notice spots or dryness

 You may also notice weight loss during the first trimester
